CYRUS recognised as best practice by LEADSx2030

We are proud to share that the CYRUS project has been featured as a best practice example by LEADSx2030. LEADSx2030 is a collaborative cluster of European projects working to advance lifelong learning, upskilling and reskilling across sectors to meet the demands of the green and digital transitions. Supported by the European Commission, LEADSx2030 promotes best practices, knowledge sharing and policy alignment to build a future-ready, skilled workforce across the EU.

Their article titled “Enhancing Cybersecurity Training: Effective Learning Strategies, Clear Communication and Demand-Driven Programs” praises the CYRUS approach to cybersecurity training for its strategic, inclusive and industry-informed design. They recognise CYRUS for its commitment to closing the cybersecurity skills gap in the transport and manufacturing sectors – not only for technical professionals but also for non-technical staff including those in HR, finance and management roles.

Key elements that set CYRUS apart include:

  • A demand-driven approach, informed by surveys, interviews and workshops across Europe

  • Practical, real-world content, aligned with the specific risks and needs of the target sectors

  • Inclusive design, making cybersecurity training accessible to a wide range of roles and experience levels

  • Clear communication and engaging formats, including e-learning and instructor-led webinars

  • Multilingual availability, with courses currently offered in English, Polish, Italian and Hungarian

From the very beginning, CYRUS has prioritised listening to the sector. In the first year of the project, the consortium worked closely with stakeholders to assess real needs through structured engagement. This data-driven approach led to a highly relevant training programme, further refined after a successful pilot involving over 500 participants.

Now available for free until October 2025, the CYRUS training programme offers:

  • Three skill levels: beginner, skilled and expert

  • Short, focused courses with a maximum duration of 4 hours

  • Certificates for all participants, plus a “Certificate of Excellence” for high achievers

  • Instructor-led webinars to complement flexible e-learning
