Cybersecurity pilot trainings
In the CYRUS project, we design and implement cybersecurity training courses for skills development, upskilling and reskilling. These courses reflect emerging cyber threats and specific scenarios from the transport and manufacturing domains. These scenarios were identified in the first phase of the project and are based on interviews with representatives from these sectors.
We developed a set of specific short-term cybersecurity training courses for different roles across organisations in the transport and manufacturing sectors, with special attention to the needs of SMEs and startups.
In the overview below, you will find our pilot trainings, which take place from July to October 2024. We call them pilot trainings, because they will be refined with the feedback we get from participants of these courses before being launched officially.
As they are pilot trainings, you have the opportunity to sample a selected range of our courses for free in return for sharing your feedback. The insights garnered will help us refine and customise these trainings to better suit your team’s unique needs for the final trainings which are scheduled for 2025.

Available training courses
The trainings are developed for different target groups:
- Engineers: Technical roles who have direct access, possibly not mediated by constrained human machine interface (HMI), and can change the technical infrastructure
- Administrative staff / non-IT specialists: Non-technical roles with no direct access to the technical infrastructure or the operation of the system, for example HR specialists
- Operators: Non-technical roles with access to the technical infrastructure through severely constrained HMI. Operate the systems, but typically cannot change it
All trainings are assigned to specific tracks.
- The basic track provides basic information to align attendants for the specialised tracks.
- Track 1 focuses on human-related security with the goal to provide a clear understanding of human-centred security problems and solutions.
- Track 2 delves into cyber risk. It has two specialisation tracks: 2.1 is for DevSecOps and security testers. 2.2 is for network specialists and incident responders.

CYRUS cannot deliver courses for organisations/participants outside the EU because we are receiving fundings from the EC to train organisations in the EU countries.
